Esli’s Story

Esli was born with a rare blood disorder. She has been in and out of the hospital since birth, receiving platelet transfusions 1-2 times every week. On January 4, 2026 Esli’s family of 6 relocated from Chattanooga, TN to Cincinnati, OH for Esli’s bone marrow transplant which took place on February 10, 2026.

Esli had VOD, kidney injuries requiring dialysis, TMA, blood infections, and has generalized weakness from the PICU. She was discharged recently to the Ronald McDonald house where her family will stay until sometime in June. Currently, Esli is going to the hospital 2-3 times a week and has PT, OT and speech therapy at the Ronald McDonald house.

Esli’s family remains united through it all, staying together and facing each challenge as a team. Their family saying is “Love God, Love people” and they choose to do just that whether they are home, at the hospital or at the Ronald McDonald house!
