Luca’s Story

Luca was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November 2025, when he was just 18 months old. On November 17th, the surgical team at Denver Children's Hospital successfully removed Luca's left kidney, the tumor and a couple of surrounding arteries on which cancer cells were found. Since then, Luca has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment that, Lord-willing, will wrap up in August 2026. Though this journey has been the hardest our young family has traversed, Luca has proved to be resilient, brave, and joyful. He is living out the meaning of his name, bringing light to even the darkest of places. We know God is fighting for our dear boy and working through the countless prayers others have offered on Luca's behalf. Our ultimate prayer is that this will all work out for Luca's good and for God's glory, leaving Luca with an incredible testimony to tell for the rest of his life.
