Isabella’s Story

Isabella was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL in October of 2025, exactly one month after her 2nd birthday. What we thought was a check up for some spots on her body, ended up being the beginning of something we couldn’t imagine. She was admitted immediately to start treatment and has endured surgeries, procedures, pokes, transfusions, chemotherapy and more ever since. Thankfully, she reached remission in November 2025, which helped us transition to a new phase in treatment. This phase was tough on her little body - her counts were extremely low and she stopped eating, which resulted in having an NG tube placed to help her gain back weight. Through it all, she never lost her light. She had days where she could physically not get up, but she always found some strength to play or even just to show us some love. Her light never went out, it was just dimmed for awhile. Currently, she is on the 3rd week of Blina treatment, and while that comes with its own adjustments and challenges, Isabella is doing so much better! She is fully her sassy little self and is enjoying being outdoors more with the weather changing. While treatment is set to last another 2 years, we are taking it day by day and enjoying every Bellita filled day.
