Jayden’s Story
Meet Jayden! As her mom put it when she sent in Jayden’s story… “where to begin.” Throughout 2024 Jayden experienced some pains that seemed to be attributed to different things - a roller blading fall, maybe growing pains, etc. In December the pain was building and Jayden began seeing a chiropractor to help work on some misalignments. However, in February 2025 Jayden was in excruciating pain and the chiropractor immediately referred her to get an MRI. As soon as the results came in he called Jayden’s dad and gave him the news no parent wants to hear - he could see a large tumor on the scans. Upon receiving the news, Jayden’s mom immediately took her to the ER at Children’s in Plano, TX. Once there, Jayden underwent many tests where doctors finally confirmed she had a rare sarcoma cancer of the Ewing family.
Jayden has undergone cancer as well as radiation. At the end of May, she had two major surgeries to remove the cancer tissue and bone (her right pelvis). One of the surgeries, which was anticipated to be 13 hours, ended up taking 20 hours. Pathology shows that 95% of the cancer cells are dead but Jayden will still go through five more months of chemotherapy to do everything possible to ensure this cancer goes away and does not return. While this has been really difficult news for Jayden and her family to process, they want to do anything needed to make sure she is never faced with this cancer again. She has already begun chemo again which has been extremely difficult on her as she is still trying to recover from two major surgeries.
Jayden’s family is clinging to their faith during this very trying time. Her mom said “We are praying for God’s mercy, grace and hand in every detail. We are in fervent prayer to see Him move mightily.” Jayden’s shirt combines her family’s unwavering faith with her love of coffee and matcha! Let her story inspire you to stay rooted as you face whatever mountains lie ahead of you.
