Karley’s Story

Karley spent her life defying all odds. From the beginning of her life, Karley was faced with many health challenges. At an early age she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. At one, Karley underwent brain surgery followed immediately by stomach surgery. Time after time, Karley recovered and kept going when doctors warned her parents they weren’t sure what life ahead would look like. She walked when they weren’t sure she would walk, talked when they weren’t sure she would talk and the list goes on. Karley was small but mighty and showed a resiliency far beyond her age and size.

In February 2022, Karley lost her father. His time on earth ended leaving Karley and her mom, Nateasa, to continue her fight here on earth. During summer 2025, Karley lost her grandmother (Nateasa’s mom) while also spending six weeks in the ICU. She was able to recover from that and return home but in November 2025 she ended up in the hospital again where her liver began failing. Nateasa and Karley fought through many ups and downs while in the hospital. Karley’s time here on earth ended February 3, 2026. While her family and friends are grieving, they also carry her resiliency and bright light with them. Karley’s legacy will continue through all who have had the joy of knowing and loving her during her eight years on earth.
