Porter’s Story

In January 2026, 7 year old Porter was diagnosed with embroyonal rhabdomyosarcoma. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy for treatment. Porter is quiet, patient, calm and a non complainer at baseline. He loves legos, soccer, rocks, animals, camping, bike riding, traveling with his family and the Nashville Preds! Porter is the middle sibling to Amelia (10) and Keller (4). Not much bothers Porter! He is a roll with the punches kid and has the sweetest personality. Porter's family says "We have been overwhelmed in every way...with heavy news and disbelief but mostly by the outreach of our people- friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, teachers and staff at the kids schools and even strangers. We are propelled forward by everyone's words of encouragement and acts of help and kindness. Porter has been uplifted by his buddies, his supPORTER squad, most have even shaved their heads in solidarity for him! Truly overwhelmed in the best way." While they wish Porter didn't have to be the one to endure the hardest part of this all they know it is just a bump in the road in their family's story. They continue to face each hurdle together finding joy in each day!
